"I have been married for 14 years to Matthew and have 3 kids, Kora & Kyler 7 yrs & Jax 4 years old.  I have been involved with MOPS for 7 years.  I attend FEFC and live in Dripping Springs.  I am also involved in Women's Ministry at our sister church in Nagishot, Sudan.  In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading & camping with family.  I love going on family strolls hand-n-hand with my husband and the kids darting back and forth exploring the blessings of creation.  Another dreaming splurge is a nice Sunday afternoon nap."

Classic MOPS Group Leader, Janna Vaghan "I have been married to Aron for 9 years and we have 2year old girls, Lauren and Emily.  I have been involved with MOPS for two years. We are members at FEFC and live in south Austin.  I'm also invovled with a community group and women's Bible study.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading Christian fiction, jogging with my family and crossing things off of my to-do list!  I foresee my next few years looking quite similar to now: taking care of my family and investing in other moms.  Some of my favorite mom moments are when I watch my girls taking care of each other-- offering band-aids or patting each other's backs.

Registar/ Finance, Nicole Lee "I have been married for 9 years to Tim and have 4 kids - Carter & Grace are 6 year old twins, Ethan is 4 and our newest addition Baby Ryan is 1 week old.  This is my 3rd year with MOPS and I LOVE it.  I attend church at FEFC and live in Circle C in Vintage Place.  Other than church I am VERY involved with the PTA at my kids school at Mills.  In my spare time (believe it or not I do have spare time!): I love to scrapbook, play the piano, spend time with my kids and husband.  My favorite night of the week is Friday night.  We have family movie night where we make home made pizza and watch a movie together. I foresee myself in the near future doing the same thing I am doing now -  being a wife and mom, volunteering at school, working from home and enjoying the middle of the night feedings with our newest addition!"

Publicity/ Newsletter, Stacy Demetri "I have been married to Jason for 11 years and we have 3 children; 5, 4 and 2.  I have been involved with MOPS for 4 years and owe my motherhood to it!  I attend FEFC and live in Oak Hill.  I am also involved in a community group, Bible study, occasionally Correspondence Ministry and I work part time from home.  I also co-teach my oldest in kindergarten at Veritas.  In my spare time I love to do anything creative.  I hope that in the near future I will be able to continue co-teaching for my next child, help with the expansion of MOPS at FEFC and eventually contribute to my families income working for myself.  My favorite mom moment is hearing my children tell me they love me out of the blue!"


Moppets Volunteer Coordinator, Jan Wilson "I have been married for 6 1/2 years and have one kid named Gracie who is 15 months old.  I have been involved with MOPS for less than 1 year.  I attend FEFC and live in Southwest Austin.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing games with my family, being outside, spending time with friends, reading Francine Rivers novels or magazines, exercising, baking and watching movies.  Here's one of my favorite mom moments:  watching my child laugh...that's pretty simple but it's pretty sweet, too!"

Mentor Mom, Joan Clabby "Let's see...  Married to Bill 26 years, as much in love as ever.  3 kids: Abe, 19 and studying in Chile, Jacob, 18 and studying at the Art Institute of Austin, and Tessa, 14 at Austin High's Academy of Global Studies.  This is my 2nd year as a Mom Mentor, and I still have a lot to learn!  We come here to FEFC, and are on leadership with the Raising Teens ABF. I am involved with Camp Grace, which is setting up a day camp for children with special needs.  Come join us!  These kids so much fun, and the parents really need a break!  I am also trying to get Love In the Name of Christ (loveinc.org) going here in Austin, bringing churches together to better meet the needs of people in crisis.  Spare time: reading, doing anything with my big kids, walking, hiking, camping, kayaking, being with friends...  I hope to get a part time job (the kind with a paycheck) soon to help pay for 3 in college...  Favorite recent Mom moment: visiting Abe in Chile!! Giving (and getting) long, wonderful hugs!!"

Big Dipper Divas/ Ruby Group Leader, Sabrina Rauch "I have been married for 6 1/2 years and have 3 kids; Olivia 14, Jackson 5, and Karis 3.  I have been involved with MOPS for 3 years.  I attend Hill Country Bible Church Dripping Springs and live in halfway between Austin and Dripping Springs. I also serve at my church in the worship ministry and women's ministry. In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading and photography.  I foresee myself in the near future doing the same things I'm doing now; being a wife, a mom, and a friend as we live life everyday together.  Here's one of my favorite mom moments: watching Karis wake up her baby dolls this past week saying "It's time to wake up, I know you don't want to but it's time to", which is what I have to say to her quite often!"

Little Dipper Ladies/ Emerald Group Leader, Teresa Anthony "I have been married for 8 years and have 2 kids, Delaney, 7 years/ 2nd grade and Marley soon to be 4.  I have been involved with MOPS for 4 years.  I attend FEFC and live in south Austin.  Spare time? Ha!  I have become a runner and that takes up the rest of my time.  I am training for a half marathon in January.  I foresee myself in the future hopefully involved with MOPS Next and still volunteering at school.  Here's one of my favorite mom moments: Delaney calls me 'the boss of the house'!  Ted, my husband started it.  I think it is hilarious!

Super Novas / Gold Group Leader, Louisa Thollander  "I have been married for 13 years and have 3 kids -- Jacob is 8, Benjamin is 6, and Sophia will be 3 in a few weeks.  I have been involved with MOPS for 8 years.  I attend The Bridge Church and live in south Austin.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading and organizing.  I foresee myself in the near future clearing the craziness off my dining room table.

Here’s one of my favorite lighthearted "be ready for anything" mom moments:  Jacob loves to draw and color.  He loves his projects to be very bright and colorful.  Starting at about age three, Jacob decided that pink was his favorite color.  If anyone asked his favorite color, he would proudly state, "Pink!"  One day he came home from kindergarten upset because one of his classmates informed him that pink was a girl color.  Without missing a beat (which is not common for me), I asked him, "Tell me something, Jacob.  What color are flamingos?"  "Pink." he replied.  "And are there daddy flamingos and mommy flamingos?" I continued.  "Yes." he answered.  "So how can pink be a girl color if daddy flamingos are pink?"  I reasoned.  He smiled widely.  He went back to school and told his classmate about flamingos.  She was not convinced and informed Jacob she would have to ask the teacher about pink daddy flamingos.  Pink is no longer Jacob's favorite color, but I like to think he held on to pink as his favorite for a while longer because of those flamingos."

Moppets Curriculum, Jen Dalbey "I will be married for 8 yrs in Dec and have 2 kids; Austin is 5 and Zachary is 3.  Austin just started kindergarten this year. Sniff! Sniff!  I have been involved with MOPS for 4years.  I attend FEFC and live in South Austin.  I  also volunteer in Austin 's kindergarten class.  In my spare time, I enjoy doing nothing!  No, really, I like to read & occasionally craft.  Here's one of my favorite mom moments:  At night my boys like to give "monster kisses" before bed where they blow big kisses & I pretend that they knock me down or blow me out of the room.  It is a really fun and sweet time for us.

Milky Way Mamas/ Sapphire Group Leader, Laura Helms "I have been married for 6 years and have 1 little girl named Ella Kate and one little girl due in March.  I have been involved with MOPS for 1 1/2 years.  I attend Austin Ridge and live in Circle C.  I am also involved in/with Circle C Moms Club and Bible study.  In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, cooking, reading and running.  I truly enjoy everyday with my little girl."

Heavenly Bodies/ Diamond Group Leader, Dina Morris"I have been married for a little over 3  years and have 2 kids, Sienna, 3 and Citrine, 2.  I have been involved with MOPS for 2 years.  I attend FEFC and live in south Austin.  My husband and I lead a community group near Driftwood, if anyone might be interested. It is an excellent way to build lasting friendships among other rewarding gifts.  In my spare time, I enjoy sleeping, shopping, exercising & cooking.  I foresee myself in the near future a mom of 3, doing something rewarding in my community.  Here's one of my favorite mom moments: when my girls tackle me to the ground, wrap their arms around me and tell me they love me... now that's priceless!"

Mentor Mom, Barby Collier "I have been married for 31 years and have 3 kids, Lindsay-24 (married to Jeremy Martin-26), Christen-23, Brooke-20.  I have been involved with MOPS for 20 years? (I went to MOPS when my first 2 daughters were in preschool!  But this is my first year to be a Mom mentor and am LOVING it!)  I attend FEFC and live in Steiner Ranch in NW Austin.  I am also involved in/with Women in the Word Bible Study and on the Women's Ministry Steering Committee.  In my spare time, I enjoy container gardening, walking around Town Lake with friends and hanging out with the Diamonds!.  I foresee myself in the near future being a grandma, hopefully!!.  Here's one of my favorite mom moments:  Lindsay was 3 or 4, and was in a very tired, grumpy mood and just crying to herself strapped into her car seat in the back seat and said, "I wanna go buy something I don't need!!!"  My, how early those impulsive shopping habits set in....!  She learned from the best!"
